Graduate (2010) of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Project manager for smoke and heat exhaust ventilation system in company Colt International. Responsible for design and coordination of the construction project from the design until the full handover to the customer. Experienced in design, solution and final setup of the entire smoke and heat exhaust system for shopping malls, administrative buildings, car parks and other buildings. Vice President of Passive Fire Protection Association in Slovakia which promotes the European principles of voluntariness, transparency, and independence of technical standardisation. Author of several technical specifications and national standards for fire safety – under the ATN label, which are now recognized as standard references in fire safety in Slovakia. Actively cooperates with the Institute of Standardization and Metrology of the Slovak Republic. Passionate about creating educational materials related to fire safety.

Ricky Kay has been working with Siderise for over 13 years, specialising in passive fire compartmentation and noise control solutions for a variety of façade constructions, and working on many iconic projects across Europe and the Middle East. Ricky has 17 years’ experience in the passive fire and façade construction sector and will be explore the most applicable fire test standards which manufactures of facade firestopping systems should be testing to, to evidence system performance and ensure a fire safe building envelope.
